​Schlage Mobile Credentials (formerly AptiQ mobile) is an easy-to-use mobile app that utilizes NFC technology.  Schlage Mobile uses a mobile card instead of your plastic badge.  Present your compatible phone to a Schlage wall-mounted reader, and the credential transmits just as it would with a contactless smart card. The Schlage Mobile Credentials mobile offers a much higher level of security, based on encrypted smart card technology. It cannot be cloned like 125kHz proximity or magstripe cards and provides additional security features that any traditional card simply cannot (like two-factor password pin protection). Pair that security with all the convenience of a cell phone, and you have a superior solution.
